Valentine's Day

Give Love a Chance
I know I sound like an 80's hit single

I used to love Valentine's Day. Well, I still do...just in a different way. Being eight years old at February 14th used to mean crafts, Disney-themed cards, and yummy treats. How could I resist? How could anyone resist?

Excitement and happiness overtook classrooms as everyone would distribute and collect valentines. No one would be excluded. (except that one time I gave a boy a Reese's peanut butter candy and he was allergic. and I got in trouble) But, as everyone got older, our excitement decreased.
Why?

People get too focused on what they don't have vs. what they do have. I, too, am at fault for this. This year I have chosen to look at what I do have. No, I do not have a boyfriend, but I have an amazing family and friends that love me.

We deserve the best. The very best. So today I am going to pamper myself. Bubble baths and chocolate galore. I'm also going to show my love to those I love.

I love my Soap&Glory

Whether sending a friendly text, making a batch of cookies, a card, or even just giving a smile can go further than you'll ever know.

Today's about giving to yourself, and giving to others.

How are you spending your Valentine's Day?

XOXOX
